Medicine Wheel as Mentor
Medicine Wheel cosmology is used to convey how the natural world is governed and how everything is connected. It is based upon horizontal and vertical directional plans; the four cardinal directions, East, South, West, and North, and the central vertical plane that connects the underworld and the Sky with the living world. Each direction has respective color, guardian, and meaning depending upon how they are perceived by the individual culture.
